INTERESTED VS COMMITTED

Whatever is yours is yours, your life is your life, your success is your success. Every day is an opportunity to improve yourself to the best person of your being. No one expects you to be perfect at once. Even when people see you as a failure, always remember that you have all it takes to be the most successful person in the world.

Sometimes it is about being committed vs interested. Each makes a great difference even though the former is required in order to achieve the later. Being interested alone cannot lead you to success in your goal.

There are two different groups of people in the world when it comes to success; those who are interested in their goals and those who are committed to the goals. One may ask, what is the difference? There is a big difference between those two groups.

interested vs committed

First, those who are interested in their dreams. They can be called dreamers. They stand in one place thinking, dreaming and believing that they can be successful in their lives. Those who will always give everything to God to keep and do for them. When you ask them, how are they doing or how is the day, their answer will be ‘Owukwa Chukwu’ i.e ‘On God’ or ‘It is God’.

Those people mock God and themselves because the Bible says “He will bless you by the work of your hand” (Deuteronomy 28:12) and “whatever a man sows, that he will reap” (Galatian 6:7). If you as a child of God can not work hard to your dreams and make out something of it, you will reap plenty of regrets, poverty, hard luck and so on.

interested vs committed

The other group are those who are committed to their goal. Before I continue, I will like to digress a little so as to explain the word ‘to’. The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines that “it is used as a function word to indicate moment or action or condition suggestive of movement towards a place, person, or thing reached. Eg drive to the city. I can say that the word ‘to’ in the above statement is that which directs the subject to the object. The people who are committed to their goal are the people who stress themselves, who do not feel comfortable at all until they reach their goals. They are the doers in life who make an impact in life. They eventually become stars.

So many of us are always interested in our goals. We always have a good dream and a very big one indeed which we want to achieve but we are not committed to them. We spend much time dreaming and planning and setting up our goals in life, after that it is thrown into the thin air. Always know what you are committed to. You can know this by understanding and knowing what you spend time doing. Whenever you spend ½ (half) of your working time, which is the 16 hours remaining after subtracting the 8 hours of sleeping) doing a particular thing, that is what you are committed to.

interested vs committed

Direct your commission into what will make your dreams come through, set your dreams and work towards them. Starting it may be rough or hard. If you want to start moving, move on, do not stop, otherwise do not even start. If you want to try, go on. Trying is not always easy, it might bring you to a crash, broken bones, lost friends but keep on doing it.

I leave you with these words, you are your rescue, you are your success and you are also your failure.
