A REFLECTION ON THINGS THAT TRULY MATTER

There’s more to life than taking sharp pictures, attending crazy parties, hangouts etc. Things that truly matter. When you begin to experience some level of freedom, wealth or enjoyment, where you can purchase things you want, go to places, appear flashy and show off on social media, then you’ll be able to identify with the emptiness of the period. At first, you feel like that’s all you ever want, but deep down you’re not satisfied, you’re still unhappy.

If this feeling is alien to you, then take some time and observe yourself while in a shopping mall, a pizza joint, a bar or restaurant spending money. You create videos that make people want to worship you and follow you but your videos don’t move you because you know that all is not as it appears.

THINGS THAT TRULY MATTER

What I have described above does not in any way try to discourage having fun and making money. However, we all must be aware that there is so much more we can live for. We can make money through positive means and for noteworthy purposes. We don’t need to show people our wealth by posting flashy pictures and videos on social media.

You do not need to prove your self-worth to someone else, why should you? The most important thing for us all to do at this point is to discover our true purpose. Why are you in the world at this point?  Do you really understand yourself? How does flaunting wealth help the fellow? Are there really ways we can help others?

THINGS THAT TRULY MATTER

Deep within us, we know that we have the task of helping others, uplifting humanity, teaching others and so on. We know this because it resonates within us. Different religions teach love, charity and the rest, but these are just affirmations and repetitions of what we already feel within. We have been born in a universe where we coexist with other people.

No one is or can be alone. We have family members or people close to us, we make friends, we fall in love, we have classmates/colleagues etc. In all, we must live with the other person and surely just as they may have duties towards us, we also have duties towards them.

Despite the noise and distractions in the world, something within us reminds us of our true being as spiritual entities. By this, I do not refer to any religion in particular but to all human beings regardless of religion. Even though we do not feel anything within us, we have proofs all around us about the existence of spiritual forces. The different religious practices and activities also show the truth in this.

THINGS THAT TRULY MATTER

to eHowever, to a great extent, most people do not understand what goes on in different places of worship or what is meant by the term ‘spirituality’. The mere fact that you believe someone can send you negative energy through charms and that you are protected by a supreme being -God- shows that there is an aspect of life that is not totally known to us all.

Do we not want to know what this aspect is and what really goes on in that circle? It is time for humanity to begin to identify with spirituality in order to understand all other aspects of life. Yes, it is necessary to have some understanding and experience of spirituality in order to know how the world operates and know how to live in the world.

Time and again you want a priest, magician, prophet, seer etc., to tell you something about the future, your business etc., but you do not wish to understand the reality that makes these acts possible. You wish to remain blind and live a life you do not understand because you have refused to open up and accept the truth.

THINGS THAT TRULY MATTER

The truth is that we are spiritual beings and have come on an earthly sojourn. When we begin to view life from a spiritual angle, then we can operate smoothly, accepting the ups and downs of life. The call today is to heed to the voice within us that yearns to align to our true nature. We may have been taught so many things from birth and we may have adopted so many wrong standards as laid by the world, but what is true remains within us and we know it because we feel it.

We can only live happily when we follow that which we know to be true and teach others to do the same. Attracting others to material wealth through flashy pictures and videos is not and cannot be a good way to motivate people out there. The motivation people need is actually in a different direction and it will do us all so much good if we begin to give that true motivation by paying attention to spirituality.
