Once upon a time in the animal kingdom, two lions were born blind. Ordinarily, this puts them at a disadvantaged position amongst their fellow lions. However, each threw a different path that affected their lives tremendously.

The first lion, in an effort to erase his difficult past, kept moving from one herbalist to another in search of a cure to his blindness, all to no avail. He kept grumbling about his condition and quarreling with everyone for being different. This he continued until he death without achieving anything meaningful.

The second blind lion, on the other hand, after searching and not finding a cure to his blindness, focused on creating a less difficult future. He learnt how to be tolerant and in his solitude, he developed several skills. At some point, he was known as the wisest lion and was consulted by different animals. He lived a long and fulfilled life as he did not allow his earlier condition to be a total hinderance to him.

2023

In the history of the animal kingdom, the first lion will only be remembered as a normal lion that was born blind while the second lion will be remembered as the wisest lion that ever lived. His disability (blindness) will be a reason for people to sing his praises all the more. This is because he was able to focus on a better future and not on erasing his disability which is a thing of the past.

We all have past experiences and difficulties that we really want to erase. What we do not realize is that the best way to do that is by focusing on a better future. When we get engrossed with the past, we become stagnant and fixated at the level of our past. ๐™๐™๐™ง๐™ค๐™ฌ ๐™ข๐™ค๐™ง๐™š ๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ ๐™ฉ๐™ค ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐™›๐™ช๐™ฉ๐™ช๐™ง๐™š ๐™—๐™ฎ ๐™ฌ๐™ค๐™ง๐™ ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™ž๐™ฃ ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐™ฅ๐™ง๐™š๐™จ๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ฉ and stop making your past have a powerful grasp over you.

This is not a time to talk about the โ€˜shegeโ€™ successfully seen in 2022 but a time to talk about the glory that 2023 brings. Be positive and ready to put in effort in this new year. If you are feeling guilty about a sin you committed in 2022, brother, sister, you are not God. If He has let you off the hook for that, who are you to keep beating yourself up.

2023. By being overly bitter about the things you lost in the past year, you deny yourself the chance to see the opportunities that this new year presents. May we all arise from the disappointments, failures and pains of 2022 and achieve the joys and successes of 2023. Once there is life there is hope.

If I could give this place 100 stars I would. I have been to two other treatment facilities and had left early because of the lack of care but I have been here a
total of 3 times because of the level of care they offer.
